Combining the Okavango Delta, Moremi and Chobe, this 6-night fly-in safari has all the wildlife, action and relaxation perfectly packaged into one itinerary.
This tailor-made safari combines three iconic wildlife areas in Botswana: the Okavango Delta, Chobe and Moremi. You will fly from lodge to lodge ensuring that you maximise the time you spend in the bush, giving you a comprehensive safari experience. You will have a chance to mix wildlife viewing with relaxation, with a bit of adrenaline and culture thrown in. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Okavango Delta is a special wilderness area that protects a vast number of game including endangered species like rhino and wild dog.
Spend two nights each at three luxurious and exclusive lodges in different regions of the Okavango Delta region. First up will be the watery wilderness of Eagle Island in the heart of the Okavango Delta. As the name suggests, the lodge is located on an island surrounded by the Okavango Delta’s marshes, lagoons and reed-lined channels. An oasis for wildlife, you will literally be at the centre of the action when it comes to wildlife sightings.
The forested region of giant leadwood and fig trees of the Khwai River floodplains will be your second stop of this incredible safari. Within a private concession bordering the Moremi Game Reserve, game roams free, migrating toward greener pastures based on seasonal changes. Sundowners in the bush, stargazing with expert guides, specialist game walking safaris, storytelling around a campfire and spa treatments are just some of the activities one can indulge in at Khwai River Lodge.
Last but not least, the Savute Channel with its active predator population and incredible views, will welcome you with croaking frogs, soaring fish eagles and grunting hippos. With its rocky outcrops, marsh areas and savannah dotted with termite mounds, the area supports unique species like the rare roan and sable antelope, zebra, leopard, klipspringer and wild dog. The annual zebra migration and giant grove of baobab trees are also unique to the area. The Gubatsa Hills are home to exclusive San Bushmen paintings which can be visited during your stay.

Itinerary
Start your African safari with a short charter flight into the Okavango Delta with a two-night stay at the gorgeous Eagle Island Lodge. Located on an island, the many channels, tributaries and swamps create a daily canvas for exploration and discovery. Water-focused game viewing from mokoro (dugout canoe), motorboat and barge cruises will give you up close game sightings and manouverability. Guides will ensure they focus on any special interests that you may have, whether it be to find endemic bird species, photograph reed frogs and fish eagles or track one of the big cats on foot.
The lodge is designed in such a way to create a natural flow between the main lodge and the private chalets. You will find it hard to leave the confines of your luxury chalet which boasts its own rim flow plunge pool, indoor and outdoor shower and large private deck with easy chairs.
Depending on your arrival time on day one, you will be welcomed to lunch or high tea. After checking in and and a chance to freshen up, you will head out on your first game activity. Sundowners will be served in the bush, most often than not, to a glowing sunset display of orange and red tinted skies. A traditional dinner will be served under the twinkling stars around the campfire as you reminisce on the day’s events.

Opt for a neck and back massage on the private deck overlooking the floodplain, sip a cocktail next to the 20m pool as you watch elephant and other game come to drink or try your hand at basket weaving during tea.
Outdoor pursuits will include traditional morning and afternoon open 4x4 game drives in search of big game, either in the private concession or the bordering Moremi Game Reserve. Game freely roam between these two areas, providing no limits on game movements and sightings. Game walks in search of big tuskers and cats is a firm favourite amongst guests, as is uncovering the smaller wonders of the bush.
