Best of Okavango Delta, Savute + Chobe

Fly to the Okavango Delta for an incredible bush break in the pristine wilderness of Botswana. The Okavango River forms the heart of this African oasis, rising from the highlands in Angola, spilling into the Okavango Delta and forming watery channels, lagoons and islands, before eventually emptying out into the dry sands of the Kalahari.

Spend two nights each at two prime lodges in different regions of the Okavango Delta, namely Xugana Island and Savute. Experience mokoro trips, game drives and nature walks in this spectacular game-rich area where elephants swim, big cats roam and reed frogs hang out. The enchanting watery paradise of Xugana allows one to fully explore the winding channels and reeds in search of wildlife and birds as professional guides paddle you in a mokoro (dugout canoe). There is also a chance of bream and tiger fishing.

Savute, well known for its seasonal zebra migration, predator interactions and ancient San rock paintings, compliments your delta experience. The diverse habitat of riverine forest, palm-filled islands and seasonal floodplains ensure incredible game sightings of species such as elephant, hippo, crocodile, lechwe, lion, wild dog and leopard. Birding is sensational with raptors, waterbirds and migrants making an appearance.

Your African safari will finish with two nights on the banks of the Chobe River, home to the largest concentration of elephant. The Chobe National Park and surrounding area flourishes with wildlife as crocodiles, hippos, buffalo, elephant and big cats provide plenty of photographic opportunities.
